The first-time around, Dodgy were only together for seven years, but in that time they sold over a million records worldwide, released three albums and enjoyed 12 Top 40 singles, including 'Staying Out For The Summer', ‘So Let Me Go Far’, ‘Melodies Haunt You’ and the massive hit 'Good Enough' - officially one of the most played tracks on British radio in the last 25 years.

2021 sees the 25th Anniversary of Dodgy’s best selling album, Free Peace Sweet - a fan favourite and deemed a classic album of the era, spawning hits such as ‘In A Room’, ‘If You’re Thinking Of Me’, ‘Found You’ and of course, ‘Good Enough’ The band will be dipping into this album for their festival appearances across the Summer of 2021 and intend to celebrate it’s 26th Birthday next year with a series of celebratory shows and tour.

Dodgy’s 2012 comeback album 'Stand Upright In A Cool Place', was a long time coming, 15 years to be precise since the double platinum selling ‘Free Peace Sweet’. From the rave reviews and many media plaudits that were heaped upon 'Stand Upright….' it seemed that the original line up of the band had done the impossible - to reform and make a contemporary and relevant album that surpassed their previous work. Creating a sound with “golden harmonies and echoes of CSN&Y and Fleet Foxes”, and prompting The Word magazine to say "They’ve just made the record of their career by a country mile", The Guardian described the album as a "revelation" whilst it went on to get 4**** reviews in Mojo, Uncut, Q, The Times, The Mirror and The Express.

In 2017 Dodgy released ‘What Are We Fighting For’ on Cherry Red Records, the fifth album from the original line-up of Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller to amazing reviews and was the first collection of new material since their critically acclaimed reunion album, ‘Stand Upright In A Cool Place’ in 2012. It was also the first album to feature new member Stu Thoy on bass and also featured the incredible Vanessa Wilson-Best from Ultrasound.

Gigs and festival appearances have always been a crucial part of the Dodgy experience, for many they are the perfect festival band. The band have performed at most festivals worth their salt, such as Bestival, Isle of Wight, Camp Bestival, V Festival, Glastonbury, Reading, Beautiful Days, Hyde Park, Kendal Calling and many more across the UK and Europe.

Known to many as The Voice of M People, Heather Small is a quintessentially British institution. With hits such as 'Moving On Up', 'One Night In Heaven' and 'Search For The Hero', M People achieved major worldwide success, with Heather becoming one of the seminal British voices of the 1990s. The band went on to win the Best British Dance Act Award at the Brits in 1994 and 1995.

Since M People, Heather has had further successes with two solo albums – the title track of her 'Proud' album has gone on to become the soundtrack to a whole host of very special events including London's 2012 Olympic bid, the 60th anniversary of VE Day in Trafalgar Square, the 2005 Tsunami Relief Concert and England's victory at the Rugby World Cup celebrations.

This is also not to forget her critically acclaimed side-project 'Here Come The Girls' tour, teaming up with singing sensations Anastacia and Lulu and touring arenas across the UK and Ireland in winter 2010.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Instagram Live Kitchen Disco’s during the Covid-19 lockdown were a means of virtual escapism for many, and became weekly moments of united sequined catharsis for the hundreds of thousands tuning in.

Now as we emerge into the world again, Sophie has announced the Kitchen Disco Tour for 2021; bringing together all of the camp and frivolity of her original show to live stages across the country.

The tour will begin in Glasgow at the Royal Concert Hall on 7th May, taking in Birmingham, Southend, the iconic London Palladium on 13th May, De La Warr Pavilion, Guildford, and Manchester, before finishing at the Leeds Town Hall on 19th May.

On the Kitchen Disco Tour, Sophie Said: “During lockdown, our family kitchen discos became a precious time where we could all bop about and be a bit silly. It made me feel connected to everyone who joined us and I can honestly say the music was a real tonic which brought sparkly joy to my soul every Friday. The discos we shared have inspired me and now I want to see all your faces so I can sing for you. I want to give everyone a night where just for a little while, we can all lose ourselves under the mirror ball and dance and have fun. Won’t that feel magical?! I CANNOT WAIT!”

The weekly live Instagram streams brought together the two main roles Sophie balances in her life: performer and mother. Underneath the family’s sparkling kitchen disco ball, Sophie, her husband Richard Jones (who also plays bass in Sophie’s live band), and their children’s familial exuberance put a smile on the face of the hundreds of thousands watching live on Instagram. The individual videos of songs from the performances also garnered millions of views on Twitter.
