It was the unexpected hit of Glastonbury 2024: the reunion of one of the great dance bands of the 1990s.
A duo responsible for a defining song of the time, an anthem that managed to be both feel-good and political. And remarkably, 30 years on, D:REAM Things Can Only Get Better felt as alive
and vital as ever, especially when founding members Peter Cunnah and Al Mackenzie were joined onstage at Worthy Farm last summer by original keyboard player Professor Brian Cox!
In 1991, D:REAM had started building real buzz through their club PA's and with their finger tickling the pulse of early 90's clubland, they turned their hand to some remix work. Notably, EMF's 'They're Here' (No. 1 Billboard dance favourite), Duran Duran's
'Drowning Man' & Baby June's 'Brassneck'.
D:REAM's debut outing in 1992 was the Sasha remix 'U R The Best Thing'. This limited edition 12" ntwice made Pete Tong's essential tune of the week and soon topped the dance charts, peaking at No. 72 in the national chart.
That summer, their EP was eclipsed by the single release of 'Things Can Only Get Better,' giving them their first UK Top 40.
After continuing to dominate the charts throughout the 90s, D:REAM are back with 30 years of hits in their brand new show.
Nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Single, the band is as in demand today as they have ever been, and still touring internationally and performing at festivals worldwide.
Featuring the original line-up with band members Peter Cunnah, Al McKenzie & TK Davies, performing anthems such as Things Can Only Get Better, U R The Best Thing, Take Me Away, plus many more, as well as new songs from their upcoming new album.
