Pop superstar Louise has returned with her 5th studio album ‘Confessions’. The critically acclaimed record has been hailed as ‘the pop album of the year’ when it hit the Top 10 of the official charts this Summer, as well as being made ‘Album of the Week’ by BBC Radio 2.
Louise’s fifth studio album sees her hit the dance floor with a confident collection of euphoric pop dance anthems. She has worked with a variety of A-list collaborators on the project, including Jon Shave (Charli XCX), Anya Jones (Benjamin Ingrosso, Kylie), Karen Poole (Becky Hill), Tre Jean-Marie (Perrie, Mabel), MNEK (Flo, Madonna), Miranda Cooper (Girls Aloud) and Hannah Robinson (Annie).
Louise says: “This album just happened. It had that momentum, and I’ve worked with such great people. I’d have a pinch-me moment some days when I was in the studio, working with such great songwriters and producers, it’s been a dream team”.
“The album is quite personal, and I didn’t hold back. It’s something I’m not known for, as I can be quite guarded. But here, I’ve brought the sassy part of Louise. It’s a good time for women to be coming out with music.” The first single from the album, ‘Confession’, was a huge radio smash earlier this year, being playlist across Radio 2 and major national and regional radio stations.
As a solo artist, Louise has had 18 top 20 singles (6 with Eternal and 12 Solo) with tracks such Naked, Arms Around The World, Let’s Go Round Again, 2 Faced and Light Of My Life all of these hits making her one of the most successful charting Female solo artists in the history of the official UK Charts (joint 3rd). Her debut solo album ‘Naked’ sold over 1 million copies and was certified platinum. This was followed by the platinum-selling follow-up albums ‘Woman in Me’ and ‘Elbow Beach’.
Louise solidified her return to music in 2019 with a stream of critically acclaimed singles, including ‘Stretch’ and ‘Lead Me On’, and the release of her first album in 16 years ‘Heavy Love’. In 2023, she released her ‘Greatest Hits’ album, a record that celebrated an incredible 30 years of Louise releasing music, with 30 tracks spanning from 1993 to 2023. To date, Louise has sold over 15 million Records worldwide.
Louise was one of the headliners at this year’s BBC Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford in September. The 3rd single from Confessions ‘Only Dancer’ was the most played song across Radio 2 in August and was also named ‘Record Of The Week.
