DJ, Producer and TV personality Marcel Somerville's career has spanned over 22 years.

Born and raised in East London, his passion for music was developed at a young age, DJing and Rapping as part of the garage collective called the Blazin Squad. Achieving pop star status at 16, racking up 6 Top 10 Singles, including a number 1 with ‘Crossroad’ and touring the nation and Europe for many years.

It was during this period where marcel began his journey into DJing, honing his skills as a DJ of House & Garage in the early 2000s before transitioning into multi-format DJ and honing his skills in all genres.

As one of the most well-known faces from the UK’s 00’s music era. He went on to launch his 2000’s Hip Hop/RnB Party Event “Naughty Noughties”, taking it around at numerous Clubs, Festivals and Venues in the UK, Ibiza and Mallorca. Playing venues such as Kisstory, Oceans Beach Club, Itaka, The Event and Ibiza Rocks.

Marcel stepped back into the Limelight and captured the nation's hearts on Love Island Season 3 where he went on to be a finalist and earned the moniker Dr Marcel.

He went on to have a thriving career on and off-screen. Hosting his own radio show on Fubar Radio alongside Mikill Pane and appearing on numerous shows, most recently Love Island Allstars in 2025.

Marcel is currently about to launch a new Project - ‘This Summer's Villains’, a collective of DJs, Producers and vocalists, set to heat up 2026 with cool, energetic party vibes.
